Paul Walsh

Founder and repair technician

I'm Paul Walsh, and I run The Repair Works on my own. Every repair that comes in is diagnosed, fixed, tested and packed by me personally, on my own bench.

I've been repairing electronics for over 25 years. Before The Repair Works I built, ran and sold getitrepaired.co.uk, a mobile phone and tablet repair business, and later founded and sold WeBuyTek, a phone trade-in company. So I've seen the repair and recommerce trade from both sides of the counter.

The articles on this site come from hands-on repair work: the faults these devices are known for, what's worth repairing and what honestly isn't, and when you're better off going back to the manufacturer. If I can't fix something, or it isn't worth your money, I'd rather tell you before you post it.

Every mains appliance that leaves here is PAT tested, and every repair carries a 12-month workmanship warranty.
