A Samsung Galaxy A32 5G screen replacement costs £79 by post, with a genuine Samsung screen and a 12-month warranty. On both the A32 5G and the 4G A32, a battery is £49, a charging port £49 and a back cover £39. Samsung's own recommended price for an A32 5G screen is £124, and £79 for a battery. I don't replace screens on the 4G A32, and the screen section below explains why.
The two Galaxy A32s share a name and not much else. The A32 5G, launched in the UK in February 2021 at £249, has a 6.5-inch LCD screen and the fingerprint reader in the power key. The 4G Galaxy A32 has a 6.4-inch Super AMOLED screen with the fingerprint reader underneath it. Both have a 5,000mAh battery, a glossy plastic back and a headphone jack.
Which Galaxy A32 do I have?
Go to Settings > About phone and check the model number. SM-A326B is the Galaxy A32 5G, the version Samsung sold in the UK. SM-A325F is the 4G Galaxy A32, which mostly reached the UK as an import. They take different screens, batteries and charging boards, so I'll ask for the model number when you book, along with your phone's colour for a back cover. This guide shows where to find it.
Galaxy A32 screen replacement
On the A32 5G, the screen is an LCD panel bonded to the glass, and the fingerprint reader is in the power key, so a new screen doesn't affect it. After a drop you might see cracked glass with a working picture, black patches, coloured lines, or a black screen while the phone still rings. I fit a genuine Samsung screen, supplied as a service part already fitted in its frame, and test touch, the display, the front camera, the earpiece, the proximity sensor and the fingerprint reader before it goes back. It's £79, against Samsung's recommended £124. This guide explains how to tell a genuine screen from a copy.
On the 4G A32, the fingerprint reader is an optical sensor under the AMOLED screen, and it reads your fingerprint through the display. After a new screen, that kind of sensor needs calibrating with Samsung's own equipment, and the 4G A32 isn't part of Samsung's Self-Repair programme, so that calibration isn't available to independent repairers. I'd rather tell you now than send your phone back with a fingerprint reader that may not work, so I don't replace 4G A32 screens. Samsung's UK screen price list doesn't include the 4G A32, so ask any repairer whether they can calibrate the fingerprint reader before you book. This guide explains the fingerprint problem.
Galaxy A32 battery replacement
Most A32s have been in daily use since 2021, and a battery that age holds well under what it did. The signs are a phone that needs charging twice a day, switches off at 20% or 30%, or gets warm on the charger. You can check its condition in Samsung Members under Support > Phone diagnostics > Battery status. This guide explains the result.
On the A32 5G the back is glued on, and the battery underneath is held with strong adhesive. I warm the back until the adhesive releases, lift it off, ease the battery out without bending it, fit a genuine Samsung 5,000mAh battery and reseal the back with new adhesive. The 4G A32 takes a different battery, and I fit the right one for your model. Charging is tested before the phone goes back, and on the 4G A32 I check the fingerprint reader too; a battery job doesn't disturb the screen or the sensor. It's £49, against Samsung's £79.
A new battery restores battery life. It won't make an older A32 feel quicker, because lag is usually storage, apps or software. This guide to fast battery drain helps you tell which you've got.
Galaxy A32 charging port repair
On both A32 versions, the USB-C port sits on a small charging board at the bottom of the phone, and that board also carries the headphone jack and the microphone. A genuine replacement board fixes a worn or loose port, and also a dead headphone jack or a microphone callers can't hear, when the fault is on that board. The 4G and 5G boards are different parts.
Try another cable and plug first, and check the port for packed lint with a torch. This checklist for a Galaxy A that won't charge goes through the rest. If it still won't charge reliably, the charging port repair is £49 on either version, and I test charging, the headphone jack, the microphone and a data connection before it goes back.
Galaxy A32 back cover replacement
Both A32s have a glossy plastic back that looks like glass. It won't shatter, but it scratches, cracks at the corners and splits around the camera. I replace it with a genuine Samsung back cover in your phone's colour and seal it with new adhesive. It's £39. Neither version has a water-resistance rating.
Is it worth repairing a Galaxy A32?
For a battery, a port or a back, often yes, if you're happy with the phone. Samsung ended security updates for both A32 versions in 2025, so the phone no longer gets fixes for new security threats. It still works, and a £49 repair costs a fraction of a replacement. A £79 screen on the A32 5G is a bigger decision on a phone this age, so compare it with a newer budget phone first. This guide explains what the end of updates means, and this one weighs up every model.
