A Samsung Galaxy A15 screen replacement costs £79 by post, with a genuine Samsung AMOLED screen and a 12-month warranty. A battery is £49, a charging port £49 and a back cover £39. Samsung's own recommended price for an A15 screen is £119, and £79 for a battery.

The Galaxy A15 arrived in January 2024 as the first A1x phone with a Super AMOLED screen, in a 4G version and a 5G version. Both have a 6.5-inch 90Hz display, a 5,000mAh battery, a glued plastic back and the fingerprint reader in the power key. Handily for repairs, the two versions share the same screen, battery and charging board.

Which Galaxy A15 do I have?

Go to Settings > About phone and check the model number: SM-A155F is the 4G Galaxy A15 and SM-A156B is the A15 5G. Please give it when you book, along with your phone's colour if you're booking a back cover, because genuine backs are colour-matched. This guide shows where to find it.

Galaxy A15 screen replacement

The A15's Super AMOLED panel gives it deep blacks and bright colours, and it's also what fails when the phone's dropped. Typical signs are green or pink lines, black patches that spread from a crack, a screen that's black while the phone still rings, or touch that stops working in one area.

This is where genuine parts matter most on the A15. Copy screens are sold with an LCD or TFT panel in place of AMOLED: they're cheaper, but the picture looks different, blacks look grey, and they can use more battery. I fit a genuine Samsung AMOLED screen, supplied as a service part already fitted in its frame. This guide explains how to tell genuine from aftermarket.

The fingerprint reader is in the power key, so a new screen doesn't affect it. Before the phone goes back, I test touch across the whole screen, the display for lines and tint, brightness, the front camera, the earpiece and the proximity sensor.

It's £79 for either version. Samsung's recommended price is £119, and this guide compares prices for every Galaxy A.

Galaxy A15 battery replacement

After a couple of years of daily charging, the A15's battery holds noticeably less. Look for a phone that needs charging twice a day, drops off with charge showing, or feels warm while charging. You can check its condition in Samsung Members under Support > Phone diagnostics > Battery status, and this guide explains the result.

The A15's back and battery are both held in with adhesive. A little heat softens the back so it lifts without cracking; then the old battery is eased out without bending it, a genuine Samsung battery goes in, and the back is resealed with fresh adhesive. I check it charges properly before it's posted back. It's £49 for either version, against Samsung's £79.

A new battery gives you back your battery life. It won't cure a phone that's become slow, which is usually storage, apps or software. This guide to fast battery drain helps you tell which it is.

Galaxy A15 charging port repair

The A15's USB-C port sits on a small separate charging board at the bottom of the phone, and the 4G and 5G use the same one. A worn, loose or damaged port is fixed by replacing that board with a genuine Samsung part, rather than soldering on the main board.

First, try another cable and plug, and check the port for lint with a torch. This checklist for a Galaxy A that won't charge covers the rest. If it's still unreliable, the charging port repair is £49, and I test charging, fast charging and a data connection before it goes back.

Galaxy A15 back cover replacement

The A15 has a glued plastic back. It usually survives a drop better than glass, but it can crack at the corners or split near the camera. I fit a genuine Samsung back cover in your phone's colour and seal it with new adhesive. It's £39. The A15 has no water-resistance rating.

Is it worth repairing a Galaxy A15?

In most cases, yes. The A15 is still inside the five years of security updates Samsung committed to, it launched at £169 for the 4G and £199 for the 5G, and a £49 battery or £79 screen costs a good deal less than replacing it. This guide compares every Galaxy A model.

Frequently asked questions

How much does a Galaxy A15 screen replacement cost?
£79 by post for the A15 or A15 5G, with a genuine Samsung AMOLED screen and a 12-month warranty. Samsung's own recommended price is £119.
Why do some shops charge much less for an A15 screen?
Often because they fit a copy screen, sometimes an LCD or TFT panel instead of AMOLED. Those look different, with greyer blacks, and can use more battery. Ask any repairer whether the screen is genuine Samsung AMOLED.
Will my fingerprint still work after a new screen?
Yes. The A15's fingerprint reader is in the power key, so a screen replacement doesn't affect it.
Do the A15 and A15 5G take the same parts?
Yes, mostly. The two share the same genuine screen, battery and charging board. I still ask for the model number when you book, and your colour if you're booking a back cover.
Can I replace the A15 battery myself?
The A15 is part of Samsung's Self-Repair programme, which sells genuine parts with a repair guide. The back and battery are both glued, so it takes heat, care and new adhesive to do properly.

About this service

How does your mail-in repair service work?
Three steps: book and pay for your repair online, post your item to me using the packing instructions I email you, and I repair it, test it, and send it back tracked. You'll get updates as it moves through each stage.
What is your no-fix-no-fee promise?
Payment is taken upfront at booking. If I can't fix your item, there's no repair fee — I refund what you paid, less £4.99 return postage to send it back to you. Assessment bookings work differently: the £4.99 covers return postage and comes off the repair if you go ahead, but isn't refunded if you decide not to or it can't be repaired.
Do your repairs come with a warranty?
Yes. Every repair carries a 12-month workmanship warranty against the same fault returning. If it does, I'll put it right.
How long will my repair take?
Most repairs are completed within 1-3 working days of arrival, then posted back by tracked post. If a part needs ordering, I'll tell you as soon as I've diagnosed it and give you a realistic date. Diagnostic-led jobs take a little longer if I'm waiting on your approval of a quote.
How do I package my item safely to post it?
I send clear packing guidance when you book. In short: wrap the item well, use plenty of padding, and a sturdy box — the return leg is insured and tracked, and good packing on the way in protects your item too.
Where do I send my item?
Your postage address is included in the confirmation email after you book — you don't post anything until you've booked, so your item is always matched to your order.
Do you cover the whole UK?
Yes — I run a mail-in repair service, so you can send your item from anywhere in the UK. There's nothing local you need to find.
What if my item turns out to be unrepairable?
I'll tell you honestly and, where the fault allows, offer an alternative. If I can't fix it, there's no repair fee — I refund what you paid, less £4.99 return postage to send it back to you.
