- The fan doesn't spin after you opened the console to clean it

- The fan plug is loose, bent or won't stay in its socket
- You can see missing or lifted pads where the connector was
A PS5 fan connector repair is for one of the most common accidents when people open a PS5 to clean it. The fan's plug fits very tightly into a small socket on the board. When the plug is pulled, the whole socket can come away with it, sometimes taking the tiny copper pads underneath too. Without that connection, the fan can't spin, and the console overheats within minutes.
The repair is microsoldering. I fit a new connector to the board. Where pads or tracks have been torn away, I repair them with fine wire so the connection is as good as the original. Then I refit the fan, check it spins up and down properly, and test the console for an hour running a demanding game before it's posted back.
The £69 includes the connector and tracked return postage, and the work is covered by a 12-month warranty. If the fan itself was damaged too, I'll quote for a genuine replacement before fitting one. If the board damage turns out to be beyond repair, it's no fix, no fee: I refund what you paid, less return postage.
This repair is for the original PS5, the PS5 Slim and the PS5 Pro, disc or digital. Until it's fixed, please don't keep switching the console on. Without its fan, it can't cool itself.
