Returns and cancellations
Everything you need to know about cancelling, returning or making a warranty claim on something you bought from my shop. If anything isn’t clear, email me at info@therepairworks.co.uk and I’ll help.
Changing your mind
You can cancel your order for any reason within 14 days of the day you receive it. You can also cancel before it arrives. You don’t need to give a reason.
To cancel, email me at info@therepairworks.co.uk with your order number, or fill in the cancellation form in your order confirmation email and send it to me.
Then post the item back within 14 days of telling me. The returns address is in your order confirmation email. I work from a private workshop, so I don’t publish the address here.
Return postage
If you’re returning an item because you’ve changed your mind, you pay the return postage. I recommend a tracked service, as the item is your responsibility until it reaches me.
If the item is faulty, I cover the return postage. See below.
Your refund
I’ll refund what you paid, including standard delivery, within 14 days of receiving the item back, or of you showing me proof that you’ve sent it, if that’s sooner. If you chose a faster delivery service, I refund the cost of standard delivery only.
You can handle the item as you would in a shop to check it works. If it comes back handled more than that, or damaged, I may reduce your refund to reflect that.
Refunds go back to the card you paid with. Your bank may take a little time to show it.
If it arrives faulty or develops a fault
Tell me what’s wrong and I’ll arrange the return at my cost. If something you bought is faulty within 30 days of delivery, you can choose a full refund. After that, I’ll repair it, and if I can’t, I’ll replace it or refund you.
12-month warranty
Every item from my shop is covered for 12 months from delivery. If it develops a fault in that time, including stick drift, tell me and I’ll repair it. I’ll cover the postage. If I can’t repair it, I’ll replace it or refund you.
The warranty doesn’t cover accidental damage, liquid damage, or an item that’s been opened or repaired by someone else. The battery is covered if it fails. Gradual loss of battery life with age is normal for any rechargeable battery and isn’t a fault.
The warranty is on top of your rights under consumer law, not instead of them.
Repair bookings
This page covers items bought from my shop. Cancellations and refunds for repair bookings are explained in my Terms.
